Who Benefits from a Week of Unlimited Internet
Zain KSA’s weekly unlimited at SAR 97.75 works out to about SAR 14/day — cheaper than buying 7 daily packs (which would cost SAR 121). It’s sized for very specific use cases.
- Business consultants on weekly visits— fly Riyadh on Sunday, fly home Friday; covers Sunday through Thursday work + Friday return travel.
- Hajj & Umrah pilgrims— most packages are 4-7 days; one weekly pack covers the entire pilgrimage period including travel days.
- Saudi residents at end-of-cycle— your monthly plan ran out 5 days before renewal; the weekly pack bridges to your next billing date cheaper than two daily packs.
- Temporary project workers— engineers, auditors, or trainers on a one-week engagement at NEOM, Aramco sites, or industrial projects.
Activation Pitfalls & Real-World Tips
The pack expires at the same time of day, 7 days later — not at midnight day 7. Activating Sunday 10am means it expires Sunday following at 10am, not at 11:59pm on Saturday. Be careful with last-day usage if you’re catching a flight.
The 2GB/day soft cap kicks in for fair-usage throttling. After 2GB on any single day, your speeds drop to 1 Mbps for the remainder of that day. The throttle resets at midnight Saudi time. If you’re doing heavy downloads, do them across multiple mornings rather than one giant Saturday.
The pack doesn’t auto-renew. You’ll need to manually re-activate if you want another week. Useful: there’s no penalty for letting it expire and re-buying later.
